Want a cheap, cheap, cheap PC (reconditioned?) to use at home, mainly for internet, but also possibly to store and play with digital photos.
Where is the best place to look and what spec should I look for?

couple of hundred?
got to save my money to fill up the car

Not sure about second-user stuff. EBuyer as Shaun says.

Or Overclockers have a system for £176 excl. OS, keyboard, mouse, speakers or monitor.

What about a laptop? The Dell laptop at £249+£49 del + VAT is not bad value, but limited expansion capability.

Have a look at Morgan Computers, there's a Compaq there for £317 (plus monitor).

Can't see how you'd get one for £200ish unless you go looking on ebay or papers ads.

Dell always have specials on, so if you're patient, there might be one more suitable for you shortly ...

Just look in the local classified ads - there are loads of cheapish systems around new or second hand. As you are London based just pick up a copy of Loot there's bound to be something in there.
