Don't forget the sidewinder is an air to air missile and....................

It is heat seeking not radar detecting.

Funnily enough my colleague claims to have heard the basis for this story from the top man in West Yorkshire police(they are members of the same gun club :eek: ), albeit without missile locks & radar jamming ;) .

I don't want to appear a kill joy because I think it very funny,

I suppose if you tell a story for long enough...... Some folks will believe it. I hope that 'Top man' was not under oath when he recited his 'story' :devil: :devil: :D :D :D

To be fair when a new colleague joins and the first thing he tells you is of his interest in guns.... I'll leave it there ;).

BTW if I suddenly stop posting and hear of a gunman gone berserk at Manchester Uni - you'll know the background.
