The keyless go works depending on which button you press on the boot lid.

Button 1 - Boot lid closesure only - If the key is still in the boot, the boot lid will continue to close. If you have not locked you car yet then you are lucky.

Button 2 - Boot lid + central locking closesure - This is where the boot lid will refuse to close if the key is still in the boot.

I have tested this on my own car (W211) so I could understand the keyless go feature.

People just need to pay attention to which button they require or tell the other half to use button 2 only hehe.

B Class Bonnet Catch

Hi - I have been looking after my dads B180 and I had cause to open the bonnet, but can't shut it again securely - I have tried triggering the release mechanism from under the steering column again and the pull catch in the front grill, but all that seems to happen when I close it again is the bonnet only re engages the safety catch so the bonnet can still be opened. What have I missed?

Had to call out the Mobilo service a few weeks back due to an ELM on the dash.

Chap came out , plugged in his reader and diagnosed a faulty pressure sensor in the inlet side of things . He knew the car was only one month away from being out of warranty and suggested that rather resetting the fault, and it may come up again, he said it was best to arrange a visit to the dealers they could confirm the fault and effect a repair. I dropped the car off at MB Giffnock later that day and there was a 14 reg E class waiting for me. My CLS was picked up three days later and has been repaired under their used car warranty.

So it is a big to the Mobilo service.

She wasn't best pleased because the rest of the team were getting set up and would soon be ready to start - which they couldn't do without her.

Incredible that she was not best pleased with Mobilo...she should have been charged for such an issue.

They need to pay more attention to not putting the keys down in the boot of a modern car.
