The poor lad has not been well. Two major operations back to back the second one to correct the first one which did not go well to say the least.

ICU for two weeks after the second op and a further spell in HDU. He was fed through a tube for 3 weeks I think he said and of course what goes in must come out. He is now on a 'bag for life" as I call it "Hissing Sid" as he calls it.

He is now on the mend and recuperating at home.

He does not come on here much but has asked me to pass on his best to you.

"Hissing Sid" as he calls it.

Well that made me laugh.

It's been a while since hob-nob consumption in the North West has been a frequent subject of discussion.

Wish him well.

Best regards to Ian. Speedy recovery.

Wow, how time moves on. The last time I saw Ian was at the end of 2007 when he serviced my W202 just before I drove it out to Skiathos.

Speedy recovery Ian, All the best :thumb:

John, pass on my regards and I wish him a full speedy recovery. Tell him I still appreciate all the work he did on both my cars, especially when we worked on my blue estate together, was fun with my non mechanical skills!

Two weeks in ICU is proper poorly by anyone's standard. Glad to hear he's back at home and on the mend. Get well soon.

Cheers,

Plug
