Thanks AltonAnt, I will have a read through it. Just reading one part and it said the fibre optics are easily damaged if bent and I found one fibre cable bent in the boot, don’t know if that would be the issue or how to test it either! I have ordered a break out box for the OBD2 connection and will try putting a scope on it to check for interference on the CAN bus.

CANBUS uses a two wire system so the fibre should not affect it.

Yes, updated it as soon as it arrived, have tried both versions on the device. When I contacted iCarsoft they told me to try the version up to 2004, but no luck with that either!

Can you tell me which email address you used as I've been trying to contact iCarsoft and I get no reply at all!
