Icarsoft mbii - not connecting to a module

I wondered if my 211 e55 looked slightly uneven on the drive, it could just be the way it was parked. But I have acquired a mbii so I thought I'd have a play. But once in I found that, on the manual diagnostic, there is a suspension listing but I got an error code when trying to access it. I could access things that aren't there (like the heated steering wheel - no errors) and the parktronic that did have a couple of errors.
Is there an obvious reason it couldn't read it?

You could try with the engine on , or engine off

It seems to connect with the ignition on or off although I didn't try with the engine running. No harm in trying that. Thanks

sorted. Updated icarsoft software and re ran with the car running. No idea which made the difference but it did and all is well.
