Hi All,

Can anyone recommend an ICE specialist in the North West. I'm looking to replace my Audio-20 with an aftermarket unit, probably Pioneer, but retain as much steering wheel functionality as possible.

Cheers,

Jeff

Don't worry Jeff

no matter what ICE you fit, you'll still be able to use the wheel to steer the car.

...I'll get me coat :D

Car electronics in Leicester I know it's not the north west but they have branches elsewhere one of the best in the country for car audio and sat nav. Their leics showroom is fantastic, with cars fitted out so you can see the quality of their workmanship .

Which part of Cheshire do you live.
I can send you some addresses of garages next to you.

When I lived in the North West (quite a while ago now!), I used:

AutoAudio in Manchester Auto Audio Website, they used to be on Deansgate but looking at their website it looks like they're in Bramhall, Stockport now.

Not sure if they're still there (I know the guy that did my installs has moved on) but Reddish Car Audio in Cheadle, 0161 428 6668

Hi yes that's the same company, hope it helps, only just had chance to log back on

Its probably a bit out the way for you as im not sure where abouts in the North West your situated but id highly recommend Good Motoring LTD in Mochdre industrial estate near Colwyn bay. Ive not been for a year or two so it may have changed but its reasonably priced, the staff and owner are extremely helpful and friendly. They also guarantee the work for as long as you own the car. The owner also has a nice Alpine A610 you can drool over while the works being done :D

best bet, go onto talkaudio.com, alot of the best installers are on there!

I know Alpine also do a control unit, which car are you planning to do the install in?

There's Warrington Car Audio next to the kwik fit close to the hospital. Or if you venture into Liverpool (no scouser jokes please) there's fort knox which also does car audio and audio electrics.

That brings back some memories, had an alarm fitted by them when I was a student in Liverpool. Decent service (well priced and the time) and nice guys...

Have you been round there recently? Have they finished the new road layout / dual carriageway from Edge Lane, past the front of Fort Knox / behind the Royal Liverpool Hosp?

Thanks for all the replies.

I live in Warrington and I don't mind travelling to get the work done.

I'm planning on putting a new stereo in the E-class.

Yes they've finished it and there is a slightly more confusing road layout there
