Need help - this little button has been puzzling me for a while now.

I imported my car from Japan a few months ago, but even the Japanese manual doesn't show the button :dk: (no, I can't speak Japanese :) but I went through the book checking all the pictures - the relevant one is exactly the same as in UK manual - i.e. shows nothing to the right of mirrors folding button...)

Has anybody got any idea as what that button might be? Never saw it lit up, BTW.

Wing mirror adjustment...? Just a guess.

Also... might not be an original MB button - it seems odd as it is round and the others are rectangular? Perhaps some sort of after-market retrofit?

Wing mirror adjustment is on the dash under the heater controls.

It looks aftermarket ...

What happens when you press it ?

I think seat heater as well....probably not really required in the Bahamas.

Yep, definitely not mirror adjustment.
Never thought about it being aftermarket ... hmm :)
Nothing happened, as far as I can remember, need to test it some more I guess.

Heated seats ... just what I need here LOL

If it was heated seats , that would have a fair old current draw wouldn't it ?

Could you ( at night ) turn the headlights on , with the ignition on , but without the car actually running and watch to see if the lights momentarily dim when you flick the switch ?

Rear fog light?

No, that's on the main light switch

Oh, and the seat heating buttons are on the panel on top of radio - far right and far left ones for the drivers and front passenger respectively ... maybe this little one is for the rear?

Will try that tonight :) Thanks.

Could it be an aftermarket garage door opener switch?

Has the car got a tow bar fitted? Might be something to do with the electrics for it...
