Trying to work out which phone pre wire kit I have in my CLK but can't see anything obvious.

Can anyone point me towards the phone kit please..?

Is it a 208.365 car? The interface box should be behind the side panel then. Any part numbers?

Because the car is a cabrio the location of the PSE is not in the usual upper left rear wheel arch like it is on the W208 coupe and W210 sedan.

You certainly have BOSE installed and when you find the PSE (most likely on the left side) you can do some digging and source a UHI conversion kit from MBENZNL

Show us the armrest contents and we can deduce more from that.

Nothing in the armrest. (Well not before I put my ipod connection in there anyway).

Have had it all apart and there are no plugs or anything in there.

I'm really stumped now. The bose amp has a huge block connector going into it but I think that is just for all the speakers and power etc...

I don't know where to start to look and I cant see any loos plug ends anywhere..??

ps. Whats the big VDO unit on the right of center..?

Also I noticed the owner was asking "which phone pre wire kit he would have", I understand no phone kit in the car then.

Comports, can't you decode your VIN and see if the car has phone pre-wiring, or do all of these cars have one?

Miro, had a look at some documents that showed the phone being installed towards the front right of the trunk, as you say (this was for 316, a fixed phone) but for 317 it showed like the wires were behind the left panel? I've never seen one, just trying to figure out from the documents.

Hi,

The VIN check brought up that I had option 273 (i think) pre wire for phone so I am just trying to work out what/where it is so I can get the other bits I need.

This may get expensive however if I need loads of bits and I may end up going the Nokia Bluetooth kit. Although it work via comand it will still mute the stereo and I can use bluetooth phones as well. This would work out at under £100 so may be my best option.
