If you thought AMG badging on on Non AMG cars was bad....

Blue one with leaking radiator? IIRC the cops tugged him because their car check came back with toyota mr2 for vehicle make/model :)

I'd love to build something similar but of my own design, don't really see the point in putting all that work into something which is inferior to but almost looks like something you can immediately buy for a bit more money.

Call it Shudebuggy :D

Ha ha still a knob.
So your not interested in real copies then. Just a jealous hypocrite as well incompetant.
Mine are made by me so are quite genuine and work perfectly. Thats why people like them. And at least some skills are appreciated for the craft and vision like the guys who made those cars. Making something sados like you could never experience.

But then fiddling vat or selling overpriced dodgy ex pikey vans and cutnshuts must make for a good hobby or is that your job ?
Or didnt you want anyone to know that.

I'm happy to chat with trading standards whenever you are ;)

eh? whats going on here^^

have i missed somthing?

Yes,sweetpea sells used vans and clever boy makes illuminated door sills

Don't see why should it turn personal though!!!!!

He's a sad little man that counterfeits products and has seemingly taken a shine to my charm and wit because I called him on it.

I shouldn't really argue with the fool, but I can't help it sometimes....

Dishwasher anyone

Dash ill have a Wirralpool please.

Aint nobody closing my thread down.

This could turn into a 'has anyone seen any fake badging on cars lately' threads!

LOL !!

my all time favourite was harry enfields
Turbo Nutter B'Stard badge
on the back of his XR3/RS turbo

my current favourite badge is the little green "98/105db " sticker they put on it at goodwood when they are noise testing i usually leave it on for a few weeks
makes me feel important:rolleyes:

I absolutely smoked a Brabus the other day in my Multivalve. Poor thing never stood a chance. Ok, only I was racing, it was an E270 cdi and the only Brabus bit was a Brabus sticker by the repeater, which was at an angle, but what's the point of a sticker if an old oil burner can outrun you from the lights in Slough?

Yeah, that's the chap. I think the cop who pulled him was quite amusing and taking no sh*t.

No I don't, particularly when you are missing the audio / performance hardware from it...

Guy with the Lambo lives near me he got tugged in Sheffield, it's quite a nice replica actually. We also look after a customers car which is a ferrari 358 replica I think, it even has a fake GRP engine cover to the exact copy of the ferrari engine, personally I don't see the point of copies, but do admire the attention to detail and engineering that goes into them

I did think it was convincing in the looks department. Mind you, I don't know the LM that well to know.

MR2 360s always look like the floor plan is different i.e. wheels too close together.

For me this is pretty much the ultimate expression of an enthusiast trying to achieve something seemingly impossible and ultimately making it happen.

The Car

A bloke is in love with the Ferrari F40 but as there are almost none around and only one in NZ he resigns his plans to own one. One day he's at the bodyshop and sees a full set of carbon panels for an F40 which was in an accident at the track. He ends up commissioning a second set of panels which are based on the original F40, builds a tube racing chassis for them, fits a 700BHP twin turbo toyota/lexus V8 and races the thing at events. It *looks* practically identical to a Ferrari F40, is actually much quicker than one, sounds like one, drives like one and as there are almost none around to compare it to you wouldn't feel silly at the lights when one rolled up next to you! ;)

He did actually say that the whole project probably cost more in the end than buying an F40 new at the time and importing it into NZ ;)

EDIT:
Forgot to add that I considered buying a whirlpool washer and badging it up as a miele but ended up getting the real thing :D

I was gonna put an AMG badge on my dishwasher and washing machine and see if it made them any faster :D

If you do, watch out for the forum copyright police.
But if its a white rusting box type, you could call it a sprinter and get more in it :)
