ignitition coils

hi everyone i have a c200 sport 95 ive bought a haynes manual and im changing the spark plugs and there is a picture in the manual of the camshaft cover off and it has ignitition coils on top of spark plugs but in my car it doesnt have any im i missing somethimg here forgive me if this is a silly question but its my first merc and i dont want to mess anything up thanks

In the earlier cars the 2 coils are positioned just under the inlet manifold. Difficult to change but less liable to be damaged by engine heat. You will just see the coil tops poking up between the manifold inlet pipes

And the firing order is :-

1 front right
3 rear right
4 rear right
2 front right

However being a Mercedes it will run whatever you put the leads on True, try it.
