Illuminated Door Sills

Has anyone put these in?? Just wondering if they look tacky and what the quality is like from places like mercedes performance or gericia? Do they have any rubber protection on the edges to stop wear against the paint?
Also how are they lit, is it a bulb i can change, or when it goes it goes?

Just started to think when he mentioned that you have to stick them down with double sided!

I've installed them in my car and I think they look great. There isn't any rubber protection on the edges but it's easy enough to make the stock rubber strips work. The are lit by an electroluminescent strip. You can most likely buy these strips from whoever sells you the sills but they tend to last a really long time.


BTW, there's nothing wrong with automotive grade double sided - it's very strong (holds on body kits and such)

As for the illuminated sills. As we were told at AMG, they will make them custom with any name or logo for you in any colour. Enough to get you thinking!!
