What is the cost of these please? I have the accessories catalogue for the S-Class and CL but it rather confusingly lists:

1. Illuminated panels;
2. Illuminated panels with integral light strip and
3. Luminous sheeting for use with door sill panels.

Do I need to buy all three?

not sure on the retail price due to the fact i paid £37 for mine of flea bay but i have seen them for all prices from £65 to £295

No cutting required. The stainless steel sills are supplied with double sided tape and simply stick on over the existing sills. The illuminating strip is stuck from underneath and finnishes flush with the top surface. They are wired into the rear SAM and the door switches. Wires are run through the side channels and under the rear seat.

Richard and Alfie took great pains to ensure the wires were correctly connected and routing was carefully done with felt pads and wrapping to prevent rattles and chafing

Not all three, #2 is complete #1 and 3 go together

It seems #2 has the luminous strip already part of the sill whereas #3 is the replacement strip.

These are very expensive from MB. The luminous strips are £170 each

I got mine from here, quite a while back when the £ was >$2

Excellent and still much cheaper than M-B who price them at £450 for the CL!

Get the EL strips sent over from the states , cost me £20 for the pair.

Search Ebay Worldwide for ' electroluminescent strips ' ...

You could go for different colours too ..
