As the title suggests I'm ashamed with myself. For what? For showing some lad a clean pair of heals this morning.
I was driving to work this morning (5am (early starts this week)) minding my own buisness when I noticed a pair of headlights getting very close behind very quickly. This car then simply sat behind me about two metres off my rear bumper on a otherwise empty dual carriageway. Initially I thought it may be the boys in blue doing a check on me to relieve the boredom of a nightshift, but he didn't budge for a good mile. We pulled up at some traffic lights and it was then he removed himself from my boot and sat alongside. The car was a 08 plate Astra Sporthatch 1.9 CDTI (red TI meaning it was a 150bhp). The lights went green and he shot off as fast as he could. I simply just sat on his rear quarter not trying too hard but making sure he knew I was there. Then at the next set of lights, something came over me and I wanted to show this muppet just how slow his car really was as he obviously thought it was a bit quick. The lights turned green and that was that, until the next set of lights which lead to a large roundabout. I had to show him that the CLK wasn't just a straight line bahnstormer and soon left him behind.
I'm not proud of myself for taking the bite, and if he'd simply drove passed this morning he wouldn't have been taught a lesson by a near 13 year old car.
