Hello...

dropped in to say hi.....

Soon to be new owner here.. I have been a BMW man for many years.. finally having had enough of the lack of deals.. and poor offers.. I finally took the plunge.. and changed brands..

I do have a slight amount of self doubt .. that I am too young to buy the merc (is the phrase Merc.. P.C. in these quarters..lol ) .. and that I should have gone for the Focus RS..(in green).. but nope not to be.. the demands of the kids.. wife.. and work (saying must be four doors...!!!) put pay to that idea..

So the order has gone in for a C Class 250 CDI Sport..

I'm waiting for the facelifted saloon.. so delivery will be after launch.. (April they tell me...)...

Thanks to all the posters here.. been learning a lot about the Merc ownership.. keep up the good work all... :thumb:

Hi and welcome

too young to buy a merc!? how old are you if you dont mind me asking?

Welcome to the forum!

You're never to young to have a Merc and I would have gone for the 350 instead of the 250 but each to their own! :D

Hi bingo999..

well my birth certificate.. says 40...

my heart says.. 21...

and my wife would say 7... (only when I'm in a strop....)

I've always associated this brand (and please dont take offence).. as one of the more refined.. sensible choices.. (AMG aside.. 'cos I dont have the budget for them.lol)

Thanks for the welcome..

And to tell the truth.. I know I'm not too young.. but it was the most interesting way of starting a hello thread I could think of..

I still feel 20 though.................... at least until I go in my next door neighbours Focus RS after 1/2 hour of that I feel old and decrepit:o. Embrace the comfort that is Mercedes you'll never look back!:D

Hello and welcome
Brought my first Merc when I was 46 the only regret was not taking the plunge earlier :thumb:

Hello and welcome to civilisation - at least as far as car ownership is confirmed!

I bought our first ever MB 2 1/2 years ago - after a list that includes a Fiat 131, 2 Volvo estates (240, 740), 2 Citroen estates (CX Familiale and BX), Rover 827 vitesse and 820 turbo vitesse, plus a VW beetle and Oldsmobile starfire (V6 coupe) while living overseas. Bus pass looming, but basic reaction from wife and I is - why did we wait so long to get an MB?? Comfortable, relaxing to drive, economical (45mpg from 2.7 diesel with plenty of grunt when you want it) - what more could you ask for??

Enjoy your new car.

Welcome to the forum - I only joined earlier this week so nice to have another newbie onboard! Never too old is my policy - I'm 32 and just bought my first Mercedes; we did away with the sporty convertible last year when the family arrived. Miss it terribly but happy with the replacements :)

Your never too young to buy a MB, I'd wished I bought a MB 20 years ago but funds then were tight, but the older you get you can then start enjoying the finer things in life a Mercedes Benz, enjoy !!!

I learned to drive in my dad's Merc at 17 , was given it a couple of years later , then bought my own not long after that - first of many . Now 53 .

Er... By is spelt 'buy'...
7 you say? Hmmm...

Only joking mate!
Enjoy the merc :D
