What do you guys think of it?
My old 7110 is getting long in the tooth as they say.

I've seen one and used one in real life - defo a box of tricks - but for me I found it too big 'n bulky

I thought exactly the same as you...

Look out for the 6610, or 7210. Nokia are releasing 3/4 new fones in october...

Ive got a 6610 on order, will be getting it 2 weeks earlier than the public, because of my early order, check out www.nokia.co.uk for more fones. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Although 7210 and 6610 are both colour, J2ME, polyphonic etc. I think I'd prefer the 7650 for the Symbian O/S and it can take not only J2ME apps but also Symbian ones too. In terms of weight it's only another 10g on top of my 7110.

I know that the 7210 &amp; 6610 have FM radio that the 7650 would lack. But look at some of the J2ME games for the 7650, the following is one of many great looking titles...

I was actually going to wait for the 6610 but the more I see and investigate the 7650 the more it grows on me <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

The 7210 and 6610 are actually identical in terms of internal electronics... both feature the new pop-port, funny that neither are bluetooth. Just that the 7210 is dressed in snazzy covers whereas the 6610 is more traditional looking (and better for that imho).

I know the 7650 has its own short-comings... e.g. it has bluetooth but doesn't support bluetooth audio format. It only has 4Mb of memory with no way of upgrading. It's only WAP 1.2.1 but that's easily fixed by downloading an HTML browser app, hehe I'm still _very_ tempted.

Thanks for your input guys, appreciate it.

p.s. Am I the only one to think that the colour screen on the Sony Ericsson T68i is very mediorce/lacklustre?

Steve, you have done some research...

Everything you have said is correct and i agree with the &nbsp;T68i screen...

The 7210 and 6610 are not completely identical though, i'll dig out the differences later if i can, and the 6610 also has a 4 way scrolling button which i loved when i used it... <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Am I the only one here who thinks &quot;Its just a phone FFS&quot; ?  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I have a Motorola timeport T280 - This was a free upgrade from Vodafone because my T260 was faulty.
I need Tri band for my trips to the states, joburg and europe etc and the GPRS functionality is superb for downloading large files to my laptop when I'm working in the field.

Other than that - I just make and answer calls with it

Actually on further investigation, the 6610 is identical, the 7210 does have more features than i first thought...

To be honest, i didnt like the look of the 7210, so i didnt even ask to use it, whereas the 6610 is my kind of fone, and i love using it. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

V12,

I totally agree with you with regard to the design asthetics between the 7210 and 6610. They are identical on the inside though <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Mark,

you could try the 6610 <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> that's a tri-band phone with GPRS and HSCSD depending on what you prefer <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

And Mercedes only *just* started shipping the 6310 phone controller. I'm still using the MB 6150 / 6210 !

(however day to day I use 6310i)

Maff,

I honestly don't know whether the 7650 will have a car kit or not. It doesn't have a data port as such, it does have IRDA, Bluetooth and a simple socket for wired personal handsfree kit. I think Nokia made a big mistake by not including Bluetooth audio protocols on the Bluetooth implementation for the phone, a shame those snazzy wirefree headsets can't be used.

I quite like'm  myself.

Got a good price for them HERE as well.
