Hi Malcolm.
Im being a bit thick here.
So are you saying its worth paying the £1,400+ for just the suspension and brakes?
Did you mean the electrics are quite good?

Hi alfie,, yes the electric are good on the 230 and thats the bit that many outside insurers do not cover.

As I said one of my brake disc is going on mine, thats bad luck and nothing else, one never knows.

The problem is that I do my own repairs where I can, so that makes it very hard for me to say to you what to do

So that £1400 = £120 per month,, I would not but others would.

I dont know what else to say, other than enjoy tomorrow

You are not going to believe this,

I have actually BOUGHT A CAR:bannana: .

It has just passed the 27,000 mile mark and is by FAR the best example i looked at.

It took me over 2 hours (Around the M25) to do the 50 miles home, the good news is, it did not overheat:p .

Thanks again for all your help, maybe i will see you all one day and buy you a thank you shandy.

P.S. Im not deserting the Forum.
I can now actually look at and join in on other peoples posts, now im a "proper" Member:) .
Looks like we will be just short of the
Magic 500 Mark:p .

Alfie looking forward to some pictures in the members gallery.

Well done!!!:) :) :) :D :D :D

Also what is the phone in the car? Is it a removable Nokia handset? Perhaps it is locked to vodafone, and just needs unlocking.

I was going to say that, but I did not know if they locked to Voda,, I have bought them locked to Orange and Phone shops charge me £10 to unlock and update

Glad you got one you're happy with - well done!!

Looking forward to seeing the photos.

It is a Mercedes Nokia phone, which is NOT removeable.
It has a sticker on the front (near the top) which has the number 11587.
Phone looks as good as new, it even still has the plastic coating over the window.

In that case it should not be locked, and I can think of no reason why your SIM card should not work.

Just push the button on the end of the cradle and it lifts out

Just checked again.

You are correct, it DOES come out.
The only problem is that it has the Power/Cable Cord still attatched to it, with the little fuse adaptor at the bottom.

If i walked the streets with it like this, people would think my Mum has made me tie it to my waist Band so that i dont LOSE IT:D .

He He:D When you push the button, lift the phone out of the holder,,if you lift the wire end the whole cradle comes out. Out of the holder it is a normal phone

For the sale of a £10 sim card get another one to save taking it out

You have only got 5 post left

I have the phone in my hand now.
The cable definately does not disconnect from the phone.

P.S. I could be showing my Newbie status again:p

Squeeze the push in connector on both sides, and pull it out of the phone.

It should come out easily.

This is getting EMBARRESSING.
Both myself AND MRS cannot get the wire out of the phone.
HONESTLY, the cable will NOT come out.

At least i can take it to a shop to get it chipped.

WOW. Thanks Malcolm.

The cradle is different to mine.
The cord on mine plugs/goes straight into the phone, NOT the CRADLE.
The phone still comes out of the cradle so that you can put the sim card in BUT is NEVER mobile.
