Hi all, I've used Ian in the past - ex-main dealer (Rose and Young), extremely knowledgable and very helpful, and very reasonable rates. I've got my SL booked in with him for next Monday... let's see what he finds!!!

In my search for Surrey specialists, I came across this post. What did he find?

He gave the car a thumbs-up! Just a brief inspection, I asked him to look at the steering linkages because I thought there was some play (tramlines quite a lot, felt a bit like a very worn bearing) - he checked it all and found nothing amiss, but recommended four-wheel alignment. Also recommended a few other routine jobs and showed me how to do them myself, and charged me a pittance for doing it.
