I have just removed an ancient mobile phone system from my car , discovered when chasing a small battery drain on fuse C. The original drain was due to the ariel which is now disconnected. Now ,however, the car will not start. It turns over on the key as before but no diesel is getting through (plenty in the tank).
Can anybody restore my will to live.
History to problem
Having recently suffered from a small battery drain (0.4 amps on fuse C) I discovered the issue was the red and yellow wire i.e. the rear interior lights. on inspection I found ,connected to the rear nearside light live , was a wire feeding an old RF transmitter complete with 12v battery. I removed the rear components and corresponding items in the drivers side footwell. Result one deal mercedes.
I also discovered a previously disconnected alarm and a strange econocruise power limiter fitted in 1995.
Help greatly appreciated .... paul
