Such a rip off! There are better cars with lower miles for sale on a lot of the Japanese auction sites. Theres an E300 4matic saloon with 9000 kms for half that!!

im a bit wary of jap Imports. I brought one from a specialist in york recently and its not been as smooth as i would have liked. the positives is the metal work is as new...a major plus, the negative is the cruise control ( unit, and throttle) needed replacing, many rubber parts are beyond there best, and there have been lots of other niggles to get it correct. my advice would be look at an import, but dont overpay or expect prsitine.

I think the point of Japanese imports is the rust free bit. It would be optimistic to assume other used car rules don't apply even allowing for their apparently tougher MOT system.

If its a Japanese car, then there is a good chance that its spent most of its life in a traffic jam.

totally agree flat6buster. My excitement at no rust has been expensive....a lesson well learnt. I'm not sure the value of rust free.......but its not 19K.....now an e36 estate with low miles might be a different story?
