Right, my A160 is pretty standard.... I think.

It has (as far as i'm aware);

15" Genuine Mercedes Alloys
skirts
Rear Bumper (the little tiny thing)
Part leather seats

That's about it I think....

I'm a student, paying an extortionate amount of insurance, disposable income of around £100 a month. (after paying phone, insurance, petrol etc) EVERYTHING i've found on Ebay, (which isn't very much to be honest) seems to be really expensive. What accessories/parts would you people suggest to put on my car, (mainly cosmetics I would guess) to improve the look of my car.

And where can I get these nice and cheap? :D

Cheers guys :D

You can upgrade the wheels to A190 spec ones, which are in the same design, but an inch larger if you think you want larger wheels. A stainless exhaust tip from a facelift W168 can be an attractive addition, and luckily it doesn't make it any louder. You can probably get a full leather interior if you fish around on the internet. Facelift bumpers are always a possibility, though you'd need to find a set in Jasper blue to match your car to save on respray costs, but even then, they may not be a perfect match. A later grille always looks a bit better, and an A210 grille could look very nice indeed.
These sort of things can just help to make it look that little bit better. There are certainly lots of bits and pieces on ebay.
PLEASE don't put AMG badges on it.

Theres an AMG badge on the back, (look on the album) that was on their when I bought it. I wanna take it off, because it isn't an AMG (I don't think?) but I don't wanna ruin the paintwork?

Hairdryer...and ease it off.

Where can I find a210 parts?! they seem impossible to get?!

Your local main dealer will be able to order them for you.

Cheers Olly, have to find out my nearest dealer, gotta be Southend or Basildon. Erm, Olly, what sort of price am I looking at for a a210 grille?

No idea, I have never been asked!

The dealer can help though.

A169 wiper blades and arms can be made to fit it, and are quieter, wipe better and look neater.

Just had a look through your album. A few cheap little bits you could do, you could get centre caps for your alloys with chrome stars, which are really cheap, but look nice and classy. I'd also say you could look for a facelift car with body-coloured door handles and a chrome flash through them, so a facelift elegance, or Avantgarde would be what you need. Failing that, you could always find a pre-facelift elegance, which has the black plastic handles which have chrome strips in them.

Bought them, they arrived this morning, fitting them tomorrow :D
Shall look into that, price i'd expect to pay?

I'm not sure really. Worth looking around local breakers for them. Should be some about. There was a Jasper blue facelift elegance being broken on ebay recently, if it's still on there, you'd get them there. I can't help as regards price I'm afraid.

Mercedes dealer is the best place, but it's probably going to be expensive unles you find a seond hand one (very rare). I had one on our A160 I think I paid £75 but they were going for nearer £200 at the time!

AMG alloys (A Class specific) and a chrome exhaust tip would be a good addition.

By all means fit bigger wheels and lower profile tyres if you want to

1 decrease ride comfort.
2 pay lots more for your tyres
3 knock out your suspension components quicker

which is slightly at odds with your impecunious student image?

A210 bits are like rocking horse poo ( basically the 210 kit is the AMG kit ) but they do come up from time to time. You'll need them painted though.

Mercedes fitted up to 17 inch wheels onto the w168 , with 205/40/17 tyres. Don't go any bigger than that and you will be ok.

Nankang NSII's are £35 a corner in that size and are fairly well thought of.

Bits from the dealer will be nonsense expensive , give you an idea , i just picked up a pair of AMG A class side skirts for £60 for the pair , dealer price is £370 EACH !

Basically , if you are looking on Ebay for bits , you are looking for 'w168' somewhere in the description. If it says that , chances are the bits will fit yours.
