In-car MP3, Ipod or otherwise.

My mother wishes to connect an MP3 player to the Audio 20 to allow player charging, track info display on the head unit and control via the steering wheel.

Is this currently possible with a 4th or 5th generation Nano and the MB adapter kit? Or are we still waiting for a modified adapter kit to cater for Apple's voltage change?

Also, is there a non-Ipod solution to the above?

TIA, David.

Bump....

Anyone got any advice, please?

If the problem is "just" charging the newer generation iPods and iPhones, have you considered the Scosche passPORT Car Charging Adapter? It's a bit bulky (especially for a nano!) but it does the job. £19.95 from the Apple Store.
I used to use one with my iPhone and a Becker head unit -- it's transparent as far as the head unit is concerned, but does allow the newer iPods to be charged.
