It's funny you mention this Markjay. I have passed our local (closed) Currys PC world store a few times recently and have noticed a shiny BMW M coupe V8 thingy parked all alone , obviously someones pride and joy , my guess is the owner works at the B&Q across the way and parks his car in the empty car park to protect it.

The last 3 times I have been past another car has been parked in the bay right next to it, despite the rest of the car park being completely empty !

I used to adopt the tactic , if I couldn't get an end space ( thus leaving only one side of my car 'at risk' , I would park next to a 'nice' car , with the presumption the owner would be equally respectful of my car as I was of theirs .
