Hi all, i have my eyes on a 10 plate E350 cdi Coupe`, im aware that the Sedan W212 & Coupe` W207 are quite different platforms in many ways but i would more than appreciate & welcome your feedback & knowledge on pros and cons of the 2 models.
I have an 11 plate 350 CDi sedan/saloon (265 bhp variant). It's a great car with a great engine. Very comfortable, smooth, refined engine and transmission, good visibility and plenty of grunt when needed/wanted, even from low revs. Highly recommended car.
Mine is available if you ended up being interested in a saloon (details in classified section). The only reason I'm selling is I want an AMG!
I have no experience of the coupe so cannot help with that one.

I also have a W212 saloon. It's a 2009/59. Really classy place to be its very modern inside. Very comfortable. Drives fantastic. So much room also. Ample room for our family needs.
Can't comment on the coupes but they do look the part.
I should have said that I have no issues with my car. There's nothing I don't like about it. Would be nice if I could click my fingers and change the engine to a V8, mind lol.
It's not cost me much in my near six years of ownership, certainly nothing disastrous, just ordinary maintenance that I would expect outwith servicing and MOTs.
Polo GTi (and a travel pass for the train and subway)
I had a 2013 C207 (E220CDi Coupe)
It is a wide bodied coupe on the C class chassis.
Saying that, it was a beautiful car and did nothing wrong. Enough power for my needs although, having owned a W220 S500, a big block 5 litre under the hood would have been stellar.
My only gripe were the seats - not the most comfortable and the seats in both my BMW 5 series that followed were far, far better.
Yes the w212 saloon for me was more comfortable and spacious but the W207 coupe I had after felt more special especially with the multi contour seats and the seat belt butler etc along with the aggressive sporty looks (well mine was a little modded).. The coupe sat lower and was still comfortable and got a lot more attention but maybe that was to do with my mods and overall stance.. I’d take the coupe over saloon all day long..

It's funny I actually prefer saloons/estates over coupes maybe it's an age thing. The other major reason is practicality the saloon and estate offers. All dependant on how many passengers are on board of course.
Had a E46 coupe many years ago and the rear seats dropped to give a massive loading area. Was perfect for my needs then.
Regarding seats and comfort I think it's a personal taste with comfort. I've favoured sports seats over comfort with certain cars. It's very very personal is seat comforting. Having back trouble over the years "job related" I find the active seats I currently have to be perfect for my liking. If I ever part with this car I will take the seats with me
