Ordered a 'Pad' A107 750 00 66 from Inchcape website this morning. £1.91 + postage.

Email from them this afternoon.

"Order rejected, part now cost £12.70".

They need to update their site..........just a tad.

Anyone got a spare (blue or black) trim for the top winding down handle on a 107?

Thanks Jay. That'll be the '9045' colour code they came back with. I've got a blue one but the vinyl is ripped and the fixing spring weak, and ideally I would like to cover it in blue leather to match the new interior but it then wouldn't fit to the handle.
Maybe if I can dream up some way to secure the handle without it I could then glue a fillet of leather to the handle recess.

just a thought... but why doesnt anyone order parts form their local dealer? is it just price thats the issue?

get a black one and some upholstery paint in a spray can ;)

I get all my parts from local dealer.

Me too. I often use the Inchcape site to see a rough price of the part after finding it on the EPC, and then i phone my local dealer to obtain the part. The guy in the parts dept is very good.

What about Sean's branch target at ECP?:D
Remember that at ECP, if the part number ends in a 0 or a 5, its an O/E part, if it ends in a 1 then its a copy part. (ie 501 22 0160 / 501 22 0161)
You pay the extra £'s for it to be handed to you with Mercedes Benz all over the packaging.
Just a thought....

(Good to be back by the way, missed this place)

What about Sean's branch target at ECP?:

Someone sitting not a million miles from me tried recently to contact SB at ECP with regards pricing of parts and whoever answered the phone couldn't have been more unhelpful if they'd tried. Phone got slammed onto the desk and I waited 5mins before hanging up. You got any enemies in there?

May l introduce you to my Glaswegian work colleagues. The 9898 number takes you straight thruogh to the Glasgow sales office. Drop the 9898 for 2675/2679, where the Edinburgh branch will be a bit more helpful. There's a guy in Bathgate l phone when l need specialist help regarding the MB marque:rolleyes:.
