The only other reference to B*llocks, apart from me saying that no one will be seeing mine dangling in whatever the modern equivalent of Burton’s window is if this makes that money, is me saying that his price for this is utter B*llocks.

(Though I do notice it boasts a Heated Rear Screen and, maybe more importantly, a Lustful shine!)

FOR SALE: Mercedes-Benz 300TD estate touring 1982 W123 | eBay

You can get an almost perfect one for 15k less and not be afraid of using it.

Cheers,

Paul

not even RHD...wonder what makes the paintwork "lustful"

I was getting some wheels refurbed at "The Wheel Specialist" in Swansea, and they had a whole bunch of w123 parts they were powder coating for Mark, springs, suspension arms etc, and it seems they also strip/blast all sorts of other stuff for him. It was the the owner who mentioned that Mark had sold a fully nut and bolt restored w123 for £85k.

Crikey!
By chance I've just added up my spend on non-service items over the last 10k miles and it comes to about £17 so they're the thing to have, though I doubt the buyer paid that because of service costs unless he's got the secret for eternal life!
Cheers,

Paul

This will sell well and for close to its money. Rare car in reality, super low mileage. As a vendor you might wait a little while but if people don't like the money they can go elsewhere and buy one ... Oh whoops, no they can't....

£20k doesn't buy a new vw golf ... This is collector territory.

Not in this decade it won't.

I've spoken with Four Star before about a car that I thought was overpriced - offering them a bit less. They said it isn't, watch this space, our customer base wants no-hassle sorted cars and they pay accordingly. And the car sold soon after...

^^ it's not about what you and I are willing to pay... It's a market.

But not a market where people will be rushing to pay three times what the car is worth.

It's a left hooker with awful colours (interior and exterior). People buying an older Mercedes estate want a cheap load-lugger and workhorse not some garage queen that doesn't earn its keep.

For £21k you'd have some lovely classic Mercedes to choose from that look superb and I'm afraid that this is a long way from being one of them.

Not sure I said it was triple the price, however, that's not the point; the point is please don't mention the Giraffe episode, the Judge threw the case out.

It was Scott_F said it was three times overpriced... Which means I am going to arrange to meet up with him and buy his car off him for a lot less money than it's worth!

Sorry about the giraffe.
