Independant Specialist - Somerset

Would anyone let me know if they have used and are happy with any independent garage in Somerset.

It appears from the lack posts, that we cider drinkers must either take our MBs to the main dealers or get greased up for a DIY session.

I have been to see Cornerstone Garage in Ilton and, as this was my first attempt to view an independant, I was not too impressed at the lack of tidyness in the bay area. Has anyone used this company?

Hi,
I have just used a chap in Frome for a B service my V reg SL. He was very clean and did a good job. He specialises in German cars (mainly BMW) He used Merc parts for everything, and did the service and a new set of front pads for the price of a normal service from Mercedes...

Indy specialist in Somerset

thanks for your reply dated Sept. I have found an Indy specialist, just off the A358. The company is Cornerstone Garage at Ilton.

They looked at my E220 after I had it serviced by MB in Taunton. The engine was racing away with itself. They identified the problem, did the work (about 20 minutes), and charged me nothing. I am now going there for future servicing as their honesty at showing me how MB were cocking up my engine accelerator controls deserves my allegiance.

Hurrah I think we just doubled the west country massive
Thats useful to know as I have not found anyone else that is a dedicated Mercedes Specialist They are about 40 minutes drive away for me what are their Hourly rates like? I want to get my gear box oil changed (preventative measures more than anything else)

Cornerstone Garage is at 33, Ilton Business Park, Ilton, Ilminster, Somerset, TA19 9DU Tel no. 01460 55585 Their labour rates are about £42.50 per hour. Give them a buzz to confirm.

They seem to be genuine and had quite a few mercs W124s and W123 there when I visited them.
