    Hi all

Can anyone please recommend an independent specialist in London.

Have a 2000 sl320 SL edition and both the illuminated door sills have stopped working.

Car has a full dealer history but don't fancy taking this to the dealer to sort out.

Any advice or recommendation will be greatly appreciated.

Do you not need to have the parking lights on before they will operate, might be worth checking in manual?

Could they in fact be working?

I travel from Leeds to see KC ‭+44 7908 643836‬ he is a small independent business (one Man band) and a true enthusiast. He has done work on my 560SEL and helped me buy an E55 AMG.

Tell him Vick sent you. He’s a great guy and happy to give all the advice in the world without chasing money first.

    Hi all

Thanks very much for all the advice and recommendations it is very much appreciated.

The sills used to illuminate upon opening the door (when they worked) and as such have no connection with parking lights for reference.

But I am still hopeful that it could even be something as small as a fuse! But I cannot find the location of the fuse anywhere.

I will shortlist one of the above garages in the morning and take the car down for investigation. Will update this thread shortly.

    In the meantime thanks again.
