Indicator problem 1985 280sl

    :confused:New to the forum,hence the post.I have just aquired a 280sl and the indicators/hazards do not work.I have searched the forum but am unable to dig out any related info.From what I have googled,I,m looking for the location of the indicator relay.Any help or info on the right manuals to source would be appreciated.Regards

    Is the hazard warning switch in the rear part of the centre console? If so you may find that this is also the flasher relay.
    Also try switching the hazard switch 'enthusiastically' a few times, as both the indicators and hazard connections run through the switch. Corrosion or bad contacts in the switch can cause them all to fail.

    thanks Ted,the hazard switch in the centre console ,will try that.
