Information about later W124 Merc

Hi,

Looking at the Internet, it appears that information about E220 and similar later W124 is not as easy to come by as information for other models/years.

For example, I have yet to see even an owners manual for it out there. Mine is a 1994 E220, and it appears to have been a 'low-end' model. Even the steering column isn't adjustable.

Unfortunately, not living in the US, actually in South Africa, the EPC website costs quite a bit (don't even have a credit card ), so it's a bit hard to obtain manuals. Of course, I understand that information from the other W124 applies.

Anybody who knows where such info may be easily got, please help

Haynes W202 manual covers the power train. Product: Mercedes-Benz C-Class Petrol and Diesel (93 - Aug 00) L to W

that's as good coverage you will get in print.

Add this to the information on this and other forums on the net and you will have most of what you need.


There are old bootlegged copies of WIS/EPC on cd/dvd available for sale on EBAY And these should cover your model but sometimes they are difficult to use with modern computer operating systems.
