Injector problems on my w204 c220 cdi

Hi, my 2008 c220cdi has had problems with injector no2 copper washer leaking, and last week the hold down bolt ripped out of head, ive had it sent to local merc specialist who re-tapped the thread and fitted an m10 shorter bolt, new washer/hold down clamp and feeder pipe. all seemed ok but when car was started up it appears injector number 4 isnt working as it should, its a delphi unit part no 6460700987 R04201D, i believe the injectors are coded, i purchased a 2nd had injector and the garage re-codded it but the cars idling worse! Think my only option is to buy a brand new injector however im worried the injector isnt the problem ,all injectors where working fine apart from no2 copper washer leaking, cars done 100k mainly motorway, is this common for an injector to just fail and do you think it could be an electrical fault, id really appreciate anyones help and advise with this, thanks!!!

Check out the issue with the Mercedes Benz recall on injectors with these series. They are meant to do it for free if the car has the injector recall issue.

Get the car on a STAR machine, the injector values can be read to make sure they are in tolerance.

It is possible the seat may need cutting (if not already done) or he may have put 2 washers on the seal (I've seen this done!)

Injectors are expensive, don't throw money at parts until you have had it diagnosed with a STAR machine

I had my injectors done by mb of Nottingham yesterday all included as part of b service, something to do with blue efficiency, they said something about a recall for certain models..

Have to say car feels much better now! Don't know if its to do with the recall work?!

I believe the recall consisted of new injectors, wiring harness and ecu update, ive bit the bullet though and forked out £415 for a new delphi injector, hope it sorts the problem as ive got someone wanting to buy it as im hoping to upgrade to a 2011 e250 convert (with recall work carried out i hope), thanks guys.
