Hi, I have a 2008 E class 280 diesel estate with 45000 miles. Last year the rev counter stuck on low revs for a few days then fault went away.
During this time I found that instrument problems were common place but before i investigated further every thing started working again.
Today after an MOT the rev counter instrument is jammed at 3000rpm.
Any one have any ideas or solutions.
Of course it may rectify itself in a few days?
Thanks for any guidance/advice.

Try ecu testing or bba reman for a fix?

you need to remove it and send it for repair. We use Cluster Repairs UK in Norfolk.

Thanks for that Jay.

I've been delaying getting mine done because of the inconvenience of losing the car for a few days. I'm a few miles away from these folks you mention by chance on Thursday so they are having the car for a couple of hours...
