How did you get access? Did you just have to drop the plastic panel under the glove box or was it more involved than that. Also, how did you remove the A-pillar lining? Is it just clipped on?

A pillar just pulls off, there are on clips.

I removed the radio on the C Class, I couldn't get the the wire from the lighter to the dab control box without doing so, it may be easier on the E.
I dropped the trim under the glove box and that is where the box sits.

It really only took 20-30 minutes.
