Seeing Nick Freeman being widely quoted today as raising the possibility that driving somewhere that might be viewed as non essential could void your insurance. It seems pretty unlikely to me given how the Covid laws have been written, but do any of the forum insurance industry experts or lawyers have any views they can share?

Sounds more like a mechanism to keep Nick Freeman's name in the public eye...

It's rubbish. There is nothing whatsoever about travel/driving in the new law.

Applying that logic, if you have a car accident because you were speeding - breaking the law - your comprehensive insurance would not cover the repair cost

Nick Freeman is probably hoping and praying that someone gets 'done' for this (preferably a 'celebrity') so he can go on to defend them in court and appear on TV news once more.

Let's face it , he hasn't been seen for a while.
