Morning all,
Need to renew my insurance on the 320ce today. Preferably with a company that you can actually speak to on the end of the phone and in the uk!
Thanks.

Clearly different companies suit different circumstances, but I often find NU or NU Direct come up with the best cover at the best price.

I PAY FULLY COMP WITH PETER BEST FOR £220 - BEST DEAL I HAVE EVER HAD, AND THEY DIDNT USE MY 9 yr NO CLAIMS EITHER..

Try Direct line, all uk based call centers and are very competative.

I been with them for years and i can never get a cheaper quote.

tesco! always speak to an english person and answer quickly :)

I'm with Liverpool Victoria and when I had a claim they were very good indeed.

Liverpool Victoria are good for that - the most sensible sounding call centre I've encountered. (They're in Bournemouth by the way, not Liverpool!).

It's possible that you might be in a union or similar affinity scheme that would enable you to use their Frizzell brand - I qualify as my wife is a civil servant.

What Car use them for their branded insurance too.

The only thing I would say is that even for me they are not the very cheapest, but I like the UK call centre, the coverage is good (automatic cover for courtesy cars, for example) and they handled a smallish claim effortlessly. However some people I've referred to them have found them very expensive - car insurance does always seem a bit random like that.

My E220 Coupe was with Swift Cover, all online but so fast and easy and was approx £300 fully comp. I liked them because it was all online, you have control over adjusting your policy when you meed to, i.e. add drivers, change car etc adn you even print your own documents. Perfect.

I used the Mercedes Insurance place for my car - it is chipped so some places didn't want to touch it, so they may not be the cheapest for all, but they are UK based and very helpful when calling them.

NFU. I use them for the business and the horses and they are fantastic. When we made a recent claim on one of the horses they paid up no quibble.

They are 100%

SAGA did me a great quote. But you have to be of a certain age!!!

NU call centres were awful - in India I think - one to avoid.

LV. Tesco and NFU all get my vote.

Liverpool Victoria has it for me, good overall reputation, competitive for those of a "certain age", English speaking, based in the UK and always courteous and helpful.

I have tried MB (slow & expensive) Fortis (Cheap, honest & basic) Saga (Not as good since they were taken over. Now expensive) Autotrader...the pits!
NFU...they wanted my soul ... totally uncompetitive but have very good reputation among the landed gentry.
