Interchangeable SLK parts?

Hi All,
I’ve recently bought a vandalised (sacrilege) SLK r172 AMG 250. I have access to an r171 which has died from major mechanical trauma and is available for parts.
My question is, is are the windscreens the same dimensions (I know the electronics are different) and would the metal roof change for the glass panoramic one?
They appear Uber similar but just want to check as the donor car is 100+ miles from me

Dealership could inform you about your dilemma.
But I doubt it, the r171 is a different car to r172

Some parts like suspension or mechanical parts could fit your car?

Completely different cars, not interchangeable.

Ahh ok, it was worth a shot. Looks like time to hand over lots of folding paper to the kind gentleman in Stuttgart

I was looking at a vandelised SLK on copart...... Front and rear screens both smashed. Both available on ebay for not very much at all.... I checked at the time of the auction.


It's not difficult to bond in a front screenand the rear screen on the SLK in bolt in.

I bought it from Copart, it’s the glass roof panel I was enquiring about, as mine is cracked.
I’ve already got the screen and rear window replaced
