There is some chap called the "Rainbow Sheikh " somewhere in the middle east - the striping on the seats suggests it may have been one of his, In 1983 he acquired seven Mercedes Benz 500 SELs, and they were painted one rainbow colour for each day of the week. The firm "Styling Garage" in Germany painted each car in the colours of the rainbow, they have matching leather interiors. The vehicles also include gun racks on the inside of the boot lid which hold three M16 rifles. The rifles were painted to match the cars. The cars are now on public view at the Emirates National Auto Museum outside of Abu Dhabi.

Lovely car, shame about the roof,it looks awful open, and that spoiler,it certainly does.

That would be the Sultan of Brunei I believe. :D

A bigger nutter even than the Sultan of Brunei, Sheikh Hamad is a member of Abu Dhabi royal family and part of the reason the Abu Dhabi soverign fund now owns 9% of Daimler Benz. If you take a sea plane transfer to the Anantara desort resort, you fly over one of his islands that has HAMAD carved into it in letters apprently large enough to be seen from space. Check out the Dubai episode of clarksons motor world on youtube for examples of this dudes nuttiness.
