Interesting method to change oil

though not sure if it has enough suction to get all the oil that resides in the sump. Also you STILL have to get under the car to change the oil filter! (depending on car)
 
try searching the forum for "topsider".
 
That one looks a bit DIY, Draper and Sealey do a larger one, I have to use one for the Smart cars at work as they do not have sump plugs. I now use it on most cars I service. Much cleaner and quicker and no risk of damaging the sump plug. Many new cars do not have sump plugs.

I would only use it on a regularly serviced motor, and only use after the engine has been run with the oil hot so that any sediment will be in suspension. On an unknown motor I would always carry out a proper sump drain.
