That sign reminded me of a necktie that did the rounds when I first started working. Royal blue with a nice pattern of the W above the anchor in white. Was actually quite a nice looking tie. We’d gift them to the Ws that deserved one & who never knew what the tie symbolised and would happily wear it! I suppose the PC police would frown on that these days.

On a freeway in the USA (no photo ,sorry) " Modified exhaust systems not allowed past this sign " . There was no where to exit the road , no where to turn around and no where to stop safely.

Quite what the authorities were expecting a driver with a modified exhaust to do at this point was never explained .
