Hi anyone out there had a problem with the interior door handle on their SL? My lever has broken inside the door. I have taken off the door card and a small section of the inner part of the lever has snapped off. Apparently you cannot buy this part - but have to buy the whole door card -£1200!! Does any one have a fix for this? I am tempted to try welding the handle back together but am worried about what the alloy is? Any help would be appreciated.

I had one fixed for £200 inc parts and Vat at Mercare Plymouth
I welded the snapped part on but due to not being able to remove from the door the weld was weak and the part has snapped again. I have seen a handle on ebay for sale but not the interior part of the door handle that connects to the cable. Can you actually get the pin and lever out of teh door? Anyone know
