Don't worry about runners. Think about all the sensors, airbags, and another electrical stuff.

Am sure they could be changed over but at what cost! In the meantime just drop an orange box in so you can drive it while deciding what to do !

Swap over the electrics, on a sat morning take apart 1 seat that you got from the breakers and see if you need new hog rings, if so order some and a pair of hog ring pliers then then when they arrive the next weekend take 1 out of your car take it apart and swap all the electrics over with your new seat, the covers may just slide over the cushions and frame so you wont need hog rings, it will be worth it in the end, its what i would do

On some cars they hold the covers onto the frame, some cars don't have them as the covers just slide on, i couldnt tell you if merc uses them or not

What Vampire is saying is that the electrics for your seats are inside the door cards in what are called door control modules.
The seats, mirrors are controlled from this module.

Sory if im confusing yous..my seats have the controls on the side of the seat.and on the new 1s are the same not on door panel if thats what you mean
