No longer a Benz...
Well the old shed is in the stealership again for some more warranty work, they replaced both tank sender units today to cure the faulty gauge problem and they have it until wednesday to strip the rear suspension out to cure my bloody rattle AGAIN!!!

Took the foreman out in it today as they said they couldn't hear anything, they must all walk around deaf as he heard it straight away when I took him over a crap surfaced road....

Starting to get the **** with this Benz if I'm being honest, I can see myself off loading it if it continues to be a shed!!!!

One good thing though, got a nice little A class 170 CDI auto to do my miles in for the next few days... not bad for an entry Benz....

That's like a lear jet compared to my replacement car!

Wheelie: know what you mean about getting the **** etc. I've been soarly tempted to dump the Benz....but when it's problem free it's brilliant.

Sadly, when it comes to customer service, there seems to be a major difference between customer expectations and what MB actually deliver. We've found that asking to speak to the Principal Dealer (or is that Dealer Principal?) chappie always gets things moving right away.

Well here's the update of my stealership saga....I turn up at 8am on wednesday morning to pick my Benz up and drop off the A170 CDI that I kinda got attached to....

They had totally stripped the rear suspension out again and replaced various bush's and a shock absorber. On top of that they replaced both tank sender units to fix the faulty reading gauge..
You would think all was well when i drove my Benz away after a 2 day stint at the stealership..........................got 20 minutes up the road, lost all power and managed to coast into a nearby close
Phoned the service dept and said " its totally died on me " Ok Mr wheeler we will send a mobile guy out to see if he can fix it or I WILL GET YOU INTO A LOAN CAR STRAIGHT AWAY its now 8:40am.....
Mobile guy turns up at 9:30 and drops me at work, WITH NO BLOODY CAR......
To cut a long story short I need to be at the NEC by the latest lunchtime.....I finally get a loan car at 3pm
With a totally wasted day behind me I get behind a E200 kompressor to head home...

Its now Thursday evening and I am picking my supposedly fixed Benz up tomorrow am at funnily enough 8am.....

Apparently the problem was a faulty tank sender unit which is the new part they fitted on Monday/Tuesday......

Now to say that I am really pissed with Greenoaks is an understatement.....
