Mercedes C32 AMG
Hi all,

I have just bought a 2002 C32 AMG and must say, what an impressive car. I only picked it up yesterday and have been smiling since.

The Q's I have may well be simple but I have been searching the web for the answers and have come up with nothing that good.

Firstly, I am trying to acquire a command DVD for my model. All that I am able to find is for years 2004 onward, is there a DVD for the pre 04?

Secondly, I would like to connect my iPhone 5 to the command also, can this be done, what's needed? I don't think the command in my car has Bluetooth.

Look forward to chatting to you all soon

Steve

Basically to fit DVD comand you need the new unit, wiring, most of the dash trim, climate control etc, etc. Can be done but a lot of work.
For the phone to work if you already have the phone pre wiring then you just need a viseeo adapter. If you have pre wiring there will be a connection in the top part of the armrest.
All round much simpler and cheaper to fit a double din unit from pioneer, alpine or kenwood that does the lot

Thanks for the reply. So I have the phone kit in the arm rest, which viseeo kit do I need? And as its a cd version I have would you know if there is an up to date nav disc?

Comand Online will have the latest version. You need a Teleatlas DX disc.

I use the Viseeo MB2 in mine. Works very well. Avoid the MB own adapter as it echos on the prefacelift cars.
As above Teleatlas DX disc is needed. Mine is 2008 version and still seems pretty accurate.

Thanks for all the great information. I have the early set-up with the Nokia handset in the arm rest. Reading the info it seems I am looking at the MBU3000 just to get the phone to work.

I don't think I am going to be able to get iPhone connectivity with the Comand system that I have so I may look at replacing the system with an aftermarket double din.

Is this as simple as removing the Comand and installing a wiring harness and head unit? Will I still be able to use the steering wheel controls. Any suggestions on make model to look at. I'm not wanting to spend a fortune
