OK just joined the forum. Have recently got my W222 S350. I think that it's probably a one-off SWB spec - it belonged to an ex-cabinet minister with deep pockets when it came to ticking the options.....hence the Royal Blue (Cavansite) and silk beige interior. There won't be many other SWB with full exec and chauffeur package in the rear - perhaps anywhere in the world.....but it will fit in your garage!

I have researched what it has as options because it came from an Audi main dealership via a trade-in process and they didn't really have much of a clue about what they were selling. A VIN search was helpful to provide option codes and then I have got hold of a full options/price list to confirm whether it was an option or part of the AMGLine package that this car was ordered with. It's not quite a press release car but I have list priced it over £80k with the options. As I explore what they are and how it all works I may get round to posting here as I did a lot of research before plunging for this one and although there are lots of videos etc they skim the surface in most cases.

It has just had a set of winter tyres fitted yesterday (Pirelli Sottozero 3 run flats) and its running on the staggered 20 inch turbine alloys so it will be interesting to see how it performs through the winter versus our previous Volvo Cross Country XC70.

Welcome. Sounds lush! Hope you are able to post some pics - guess you hit the jackpot with that one!

Welcome aboard

Time for an update. Car has been with me 6 months approximately covered 2000 miles and had two major pieces of warranty work - the first involved the front suspension shock absorber (nearside) and the second involved rear suspension shock absorber (nearside) and also a front suspension nearside link arm. Front and rear nearside wheels were both cracked/repaired at purchase and they have now been repaired again after the winter tyres were fitted another crack also developed so I have bought a new rear wheel to fit in the Spring when the Summer tyres go back on - the winter will then probably just stay in the boot as a 'get you home' spare. So all in all its well over £5k expenditure - fortunately all under warranty. Lessons learnt: get a warranty! when you buy check the alloy wheels on the inner rim not the shiny outside - 20 inch staggered wheels was not a sensible option on Yorkshire roads, check the suspension on nearside where the potholes are worst - I am not impressed by longevity after 65k miles which I imagine would have been mainly motorway in prior ownership. It passed its MOT so don't assume that's going to highlight shock absorber problems although it should. My Volvo had standard adjusting rear dampers and they were not replaced up to moving it on at 120k miles/10 years. Also had the satnav updated so that the traffic alerts would work - that was a 3 year subscription for £90 but didn't work without the satnav update. Mercedes Me was a nightmare and took a month or two to work after paying for the subscription. The car was entitled to free satnav updates during manufacture warranty make sure its been done as the dealer doesn't do it unless asked........ That was an hour's labour but worth it in my view. I can highly recommend Mercedes main dealer service at Huddersfield which has been exemplary. The car had a full exterior detail before the winter and still looks fabulous. It's a beautiful car to drive and to be a passenger in - hugely impressive vehicle looking forward to next 6 months and hoping its pain free.

Belated welcome, car sounds, lovely, could do with some pics though.
