I am new to the forum and am seeking some assistance in stalling an iO Play 2 into my 2002 C Class Coupe (W203) with the Audio 10 CD Player.
I have done a lot of reading and found out that the connections on the radio do not have a 12V switched live. I have come across a connection lead called an INKA-045-9937 automatic ignition-sensor which seems to solve this by using the CAN BUS signal to operate the iO Play unit.
However, I am a little confused as to the mute signal. According to the iO Play manual, the mute pin is pin 2 and on the radio the corresponding pin 2 is not used, but the pin 3 on the radio is called 'Phone Mute'.
Has anyone had experience of installing an iO Play and can offer advice regarding the mute connections?
Also has anyone used the INKA-045-9937 automatic ignition-sensor and can tell me more about it.
Any help will be appreciated.
