Recently got hold of a brand new iPad2. It connects to home WiFi and I can browse for a few minutes, but then it's as if the connection is lost. The signal strength indication shows it's still connected - I just can't browse.

Disconnecting and reconnecting fixes it for a few minutes, but then more of the same a few minutes later. All other wireless devices are working as they should - no problems disconnecting. :dk:

Google suggests this is a common problem, but I can only find references to the problem, and not the fix.

Anyone experienced the same problem but resolved it?

I had a similar issue. Resolved by manually keying in all the network details submask etc. Try that

It's a SIM free 3G model, so got hold of a SIM card today. If problem persists I can at least I can use that. Strangely it worked beautifully at my in-laws this evening.

What do the logs on the router say?

Not iPad specific but I usually find this sort of thing is related to security. For test purpose, does it work OK with all wireless security off at the router?

If so, try a different security protocol and see how it goes.

Ive got the same issue with my kindle and my ipod touch 64gig.

A 20 second reset of my routers etc seems to solve the issue.

I did exactly that this evening, and after 20 minutes or so browsing there was no sign of the problem. Fingers crossed it's gone.

Masses on the inter web about this problem. Are you using a magnetic cover? My wife finds hers is better without it. Many are calling Apple and they are replacing them.

No cover at all at the moment - got to get one.
