Hi All,

iPhone 14 or possibly 13 pro / 15 in good condition wanted please. Appreciate there are many selling platforms, but thought I’d see if any forum members are selling.

CEX is a good source at sensible money...my son gets a newer one most years. They give fair PX and 2 year warranty.

They give fair PX.

If they have, it's only by accident. As a buyer it's relatively transparent but they habitually gouge sellers; local branches have been caught twice by by Trading standards in the last few years.

The difference between a CEX Grade A and an Apple refurbished example is about 10%.

How can they gouge sellers?...if you don't like what they offer, don't accept. Nothing to do with TS as far as I can see. You can even go online to see what they will offer for your age and condition of equipment. So far we have always got that price or better.

It's very easy. Buy as grade B, sell as grade A is just one ploy. Nice little earner for the store and makes the manager's margins look even better.

By all means you can refuse their offer, but it doesn't stop them being a bunch of dishonest fraudsters when they don't stick to their own stated conditions. Claiming a brand new phone had moisture damage and wear on the digitiser, when it had been unsealed by TS just outside the shop was a massive own goal. Protesting against a cooling off period for reselling purchased stock (to allow for theft reports etc) is hardly an indictment of honest business practices either.

Perhaps the staff at Bognor play with a straight bat, but there are plenty that don't.
