Iphone 3gS / 4G FM transmitter dock? which one

Wife has a 3Gs and I'm thinking of getting a 4G, we both have cars pre ipod connectors.

Whats the best way of using these with our cars? What do other people recommend. With my old ipod I used a FM dock thingy that worked ok.

From experience of using a number of these devices ( ranging from various cheap , unbranded 'supermarket' ones to a fairly expensive Griffin iTrip ) with both my original iPhone 2G and my current iPhone 3G , they all pick up and transmit 'GSM noise' which occurs whenever the phone 'handshakes' with a cell node .

Putting the phone into 'aircraft mode' does disable this but then you cannot make or receive calls .

I , personally , do not bother with the iPod function of the phone , preferring to stick with the CD changers in the boot , which even on a car system are audibly superior to mp3 players .
