iPhone 3gs pre-wired telehpone cradle help

Doesn anyone know how to pair the iphone with the cradle. I know it wont work with the phone not in the cradle but I still need to pair the phone via bluetooth.

Once paired; it should work without having to put it in the cradle; just make sure the phone Bluetooth is on... It shd connect up to the cradle by itself...
My iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4 do
To pair in the first instance
Make sure Bluetooth is on on the phone and searching for devices
Press the button on the top end of the cradle (not the dimpled button to release, on the face)...
Once the cradle is 'discoverable', it should come up on the iPhone
Put in the pin 62872 (I think off the top of my head) when prompted, and hey presto, away u go ;-)

The early 3G (not 3GS) cradle didnt work at all unless the phone was in the cradle. It wasnt until the 3G(S) and 4 cradle came along that bluetooth out of the cradle was supported.
