Hi all, ive just bought a 2007 e280, my question is, what do i need to buy to connect my iphone to the car and where do i buy whatever it is from?

Cheap way is through one of these , they broadcast a radio frequency , tune radio to that and you can stream music and answer and make calls

It depends entirely what audio system in your car. If you do not know , post the VIN on here and if it has not been upgraded in the past someone on here will steer you in the right direction.

My car is a year older than yours and is pre wired for telephone , but it all gets a bit messy with older cars connecting to smartphones. My iphone connects via bluetooth ..but not music , only phone, only the buttons on the wheel work , not the ones on the dash. That is with a genuine Mercedes Benz UHI HFP fitted in the factory 'hot shoe' connection in the armrest.

Brand new UHI HFP are no longer available but plenty on e-bay (but buyer beware) This might not be what you want. Some detest wires everywhere and USB plugs using gizmo's bought on line so end up replacing the whole head unit.

You have come to the right place , it's a big subject on here. Welcome along.

Thanks very much, the VIN is WDB2112202B086275
it is pre wired and has a "thingy" in the arm rest, i was wondering if there was an adaptor on the market for an easy fix?

Hi all,

I have just joined the forum

I have a similar question to Hawkeye1963

2006 Saloon E 220 CDI with a cradle in the arm rest for a Noxia Phone (I want to use an iPhone 8) - what the easiest way to connect ?

Thanks
